  1. Hi Maya,
I have been in touch with Ruth Hoffman via cell who is the Director of the ACCO (American Childhood Cancer Organization). They have put together a sad video of the difference between the public knowing the gold ribbon vs. the pink ribbon. I just about blew my stack! They are trying to make it go viral. They also have a cause marketing campaign to start getting companies to put the gold ribbon on their packaging. FINALLY! Additionally, they are making a documentary about how cancer affects families and they are looking for submissions. Go to acco.org and on the top bar pull down awareness and advocacy. I would have sent the original email, but I didn’t know how to contact you. There under awareness you can see all of these initiatives. This is so important. She and I have been in touch via phone and email and they are on the cusp of getting a noted celebrity as their spokesperson. YOU are perfect for these endeavors and you are so talented with a computer and all of the social media. I wanted to encourage you to sign up with them and get their newsletter. Thank you for your posts……still healing from leukemia in CT.

  3. Maya,
I just wanted to let you know that you and all the people that loved Ben are in my sad, heavy heart. I am so sorry to see that Ben has died. Hope Ro finds him and they play hard. Much love…:(

I am sorry for the loss of both your handsome, beautiful, magnificent son ,Ronan. And his pal Ben. With that I hope that you beat the shit out of cancer like a pinata- you know why? Because you can fucking do it.
