Some sweet soul, nominated us for this Chase Community Giving Program. We are a little late in the game, but we feel like we have a shot to make it in the top 10. It’s a lot of money that we could put to good use to help us build our dream Neuroblastoma Care and Research Center. Please consider voting for us and spreading the word. We are so thankful to the person who nominated us for this and so thankful to all of you for taking the time to vote for us! xxoo

  5. Maya you AMAZE me! I have not only voted for this, but have spread the word! Thanks for all your doing! Your a strong woman… ❤

  6. Voted and shared on my Facebook page… I have been absolutely consumed by Ronan and all things Ronan and your blog and his song and thinking of how to help and when to write and what to say–I have been at a loss to find the words. I tell everyone I know to buy “Ronan” and will also direct them to this Chase program. You will do amazing things through and for Ronan… I can feel it in my bones.

  7. Everyday I read your blog, I’m from Argentina, and when I read your words I cry. I cry because I see how hard is everything for you, but apart from crying I\’m amazed by your strength and your deep love to Ro.
I hope you never give up, keep going and be strong because of (first) Ro, because I’m a hundred percent sure he want you to be strong and be as happy as you can, and second because of your husband, your children, and all the people who loves you, and obviously because of your beatiful little vampire, cause I know he or she’ll help you to be stronger and be happy.
I don’t know if you will see this, but this is the only way I can tell you my suport to you, I’m only 15 and I live in the other part of the continent, but I would like to help you, somehow.
You’re reeeeeeeeeeeeeally amazing, thanks for been a great inspiration for me, you and Ronan, and specially your deep love story.
Stay strong, I know Ro is absolutly proud of your strength ❤

  8. If all the millions of hits got busy we can get you to win. Let’s go Maya’s mafia!!!
    Always RoLove!!

  9. Maya, I remember a post somewhere along the way where you mentioned hearing ” Here Comes the Sun” for Ronan. I just wanted to tell you that today at our St. Baldrick’s benefit, as I was walking through the outdoor bar, that song came on at random. One of your roommates from Sloan, Ty, was one of our honored kids today. I definitely think Roman was in Rockaway Beach, NY helping us raise money for a cure!

    1. Ps – Damn you autocorrect!

  10. I “liked” the page, but is there a spot to actually vote? And WHY are so many people wanting animal rights charities? I LOVE all animals. I truly do! But over CHILDREN being murdered & stolen from their families? From their bodies, & from their world? NO! My vote will always be to help keep kids ALIVE with their mommies & daddies! I hope “liking” the link counts as a vote!!! If not, please advise!

  11. If you happened to see my last post, I was able to go on using the other link u posted in fb. My vote is official! I vote for children to live! (would love to know where/how to find awesome F U Cancer bracelet in southern California!!!

  12. Done and posted it to my wall and will for the next 4 days…. let’s go!!

  13. I will definitely be voting for you and your amazing cause. This blog is so beautiful and so real. I think about Ronan almost every day. I love the perspective you put onto this awful and unfair situation. Just the fact that you don’t try to sugarcoat the raw pain of such a tremendous loss with sayings like “Ronan wants to be home with God” or things like that is a breath of fresh air, there is no doubt that Ro would love to be with you and his Dad and his brothers because he was obviously showered with all the love and care an almost 4 year old could ever hope for. Thank you for your wise words and perspective on loss, it makes one think and appreciate so much more in life.

  14. Done! Hope you win. Your son was beautiful, stunning and so precious. I have read your blog from start to finish. My little sister was ill all her life but lived into early adulthood. She died a few years back and I think about her all the time. It makes me feel like I am going mad, to be honest. Thinking of you and your family. xxxx

  15. voted and hope you win! i also was thinking it’d be awesome to make a video/picture slideshow of Ronan to accompany Taylor’s beautiful song.

Happily voted for Ronan’s foundation all the way from Ireland;-)

  17. I am praying for you and your son

  18. I voted, Facebooked, shared, tweeted, twitted, shouted, nudged, called, text and even emailed friends. I feel very guilty for not knowing this child before this, but please Maya be assured the world has embraced Ronan now! I don’t mind knowing that it took Taylor Swift to bring him to me. If that’s what it took then so be it! If it takes a million songs and a zillion singers to sing his name, RONAN will never be alone and never be forgotten!! A mothers love is something no one can share unless your a mother yourself! Your story has given me new meaning to my life. I should live and cherish each day as if it were our last here. Say “I love you more to those you do love”, say what I feel and shout to the world that I STAND UP 2 CANCER!

Little ol’ me voted. I wish I could vote a million times for you. I have shared the link on FB and am hitting the email come Monday morning. We are going to win. Another song for Maya. Although some of the words don’t apply. The base is unbelievably touching. XXOO from your St. Louis Ronan supporters….

Part of Your History — Blue Merle
I always knew that you do great things
I didn’t ever want to slow you down
I was there when you learned to use your wings
And I saw you leave the ground
The time spent in your sweet arms
Was the best time that I’ve known
Maybe the reason I was here at all was to see you carry on
Don’t you know I still remember
How once I was someone to you
Girl your were meant for something better
Doesn’t matter anymore what you think of me
Just proud to be part of your history
I knew the time was coming soon
You were growing up so fast
Sometimes you could lose so much when you try to make it last
I always knew that you do great things
I didn’t ever want to slow you down
I was there when you learned to use your wings
And I saw you leave the ground
Don’t you know I still remember
How once I was someone to you
Girl your were meant for something better
Doesn’t matter anymore what you think of me
Just proud to be part of your history
Doesn’t matter anymore cause you set me free
Just proud to be part of your history

  20. I’m sorry, I tried to vote but the App won’t work on my computer… :\ If I can get on another computer before the voting ends, I will try there.
I had heard of Ronan and your blog a few times before online, but it wasn’t until Taylor’s song that I came here and started reading. Ronan’s story has touched me, as well as so many others. It’s not one that will be forgotten by the world.
Keep your head up and stay strong. Lots of hugs and love to you and your family. 🙂

  21. Hi Maya….i’m from australia, came to your blog via taylor swift…voted…i am a 38 year old bloke who has struggled with feelings all my life, blokes don’t show feelings unless they are ones of anger in pubs or laughter at a comedy night…for the last week i have been reading and crying to your blog, just cant stop…you have a way of writing that lets everyone feel what you are feeling…this has opened my eyes and showed me how lucky i am to have a happy healthy child and a wife that loves me and who both i have pretty much been ignoring for the last few years with excuses like i’m too busy at work or too tired…just wanted to say that you have opened up my heart and i hope to be as motivated and loving to my family as i have been this last week….thanks maya and keep fighting the good fight.

  22. Voted and shared because I have never believed in someone so much. You and Ro will forever hold a place in my heart. I knew from the moment I started reading this blog, you were going to do amazing things. Hope the morning sickness subsides soon and you get some of your energy back. Take care!!!
    F U Cancer!!!

  23. Hi my name is Steph i’m mexican and i’m 19 years old. I just read your blog because i heard “Ronan” By taylor swift i think that it is the best song ever, i felt so identified with the lyrics, Just like you, i also have a little man as an angel. My little brother had cancer and passed away when he was four, just like beautiful Ronan! I just want to let you know that i love your blog and that i really admire you. I told my mother about the song and about your blog and she couldn’t stop the tears when we saw pictures of your beautiful son, he looks a lot like my brother. I’m sure Ronan and Lalito are really good friends there, in heaven.

  24. Cancer has met it’s match in the form of Ronan’s Mama. You are a force to be reckoned with. I look forward to following your story and helping you in your fight when I can.

  25. Hi. I’ve also found your blog from Taylor Swift. I can’t stop thinking about you and your beautiful little blue eyed Ronan. I had no idea how underfunded childhood cancers were. It makes no sense to me. It is horrifying to me what happened to your son, what happened to you and your family. It’s not fair!!! I just want to tell everyone ‘did you know that less than 3% of money raised for cancer research goes to children????’ Its so so so so wrong. I’m shocked.

I’m also stunned that some people have criticized you so harshly. You are an amazing mom. I am so happy to hear that you are expecting your little poppy.

I voted. I’m Canadian so I was worried my vote wouldn’t take, but it looks like it did.

  26. I just voted. I cannot think of a more wonderful organization out there! You are an inspiration Maya.

  27. Hi Maya, just wanted to tell you thanks for accepting my FR. One of these days I promise to send you a copy of the picture I told you about. Oh how I remember that night with you and Laura! You two were so goofy! And now look what a magnificent woman you have grown in to!
I have to tell you, I sent the link out to all 800 + friends of mine on facebook. I told them if they all have time to spend countless hours and cash on a silly game, like farmville, they have time to read and vote and DONATE! So hopefully you will see the numbers rise in the morning.
Keep up the great work you are doing, but more so right now, listen to Mr. Sparkly Eyes and take care of yourself now that you are carrying another little “seed” ! Know that Ronan is with you every second of every day.
I am so proud to say that I personally know someone as fantastic as you. You, Ronan, your family and your words have touched my soul like it has never been touched before. You are such a true inspiration to so many.

  28. I hope you guys win for your family and Ronan

  29. I voted!
