Maya, I’m not sure whether you’ve had the opportunity to scroll through some of the other nominees or not, but if you haven’t, I’d encourage you to. So many of them are moms who’ve started charities because their child was diagnosed with some terrible illness (there are others whose little ones had Neuroblastoma, even). It saddens me to read their stories just as much as it breaks my heart to read yours. But, it also gives me hope. When a cure is found for Neuroblastoma, it won’t be because of a physician or a scientist, or even a huge financial donor. It will be because of mothers like you. Stubborn, feisty, smart, outspoken mamas who refuse to live in a world where insidious diseases kill children. I voted for you (of course), but really, the mere fact that all these women exist is spectacular. God bless every one of you.

I agree with what AVB said. Even though you are having a hard time, you are a very determined mother. You can read that in every post you write. I absolutely voted for you. I know that when you win, you will use it for good and to bring awareness to a horrible disease. I watched my sister suffer for almost 6 years because of a brain tumor that eventually took her from us. No one should have to go through that.

I am not surprised by this at all. You are amazing and inspire me EVERY SINGLE DAY!!!!!! I really wish I lived in Arizona so I could meet you in person and express my gratitude for you just keepin it real and staying true to yourself, your family and Ronan. You say what everyone else is afraid to say and that is so important! Thank you so much for pouring your heart and soul out to all of us without sensoring a second of how you feel. The world needs to hear how terrible childhood cancer is and what it does to families and precious children like Ronan. Thank you for being you, and reminding me that life is to short and to embrace every single moment.
